The Scarlet Thread | A Solo Journaling Game of Divine Wisdom
Follow The Scarlet Thread. Enter the Red Tent.
A sacred solo journaling game of divination, intimate ritual, and ancient Goddess wisdom.
There is a crimson line that winds through human memory—a quiet, unbroken thread that calls you away from the noise, the demands, and the relentless output of daily life.
When you follow The Scarlet Thread, you step across the threshold into the Red Tent.
Inside this sanctuary of woven wool, warm clay, and flickering firelight, time softens. Here, you are invited to pull back from the outer world to rest, draw cards, practice small somatic rituals, and listen to the old stories whispering in your blood.
You do not enter the Red Tent to be fixed. You enter to remember.
WHAT IS THE SCARLET THREAD?
The Scarlet Thread is an immersive solo roleplaying and journaling game played with a standard deck of playing cards and a notebook.
By pulling cards, you navigate your way through the physical, emotional, and spiritual layers of the Red Tent experience. Each suit and rank acts as a divinatory mirror, connecting small, tactile acts of care with deep archetypal lore:
Aces through Fives (Sensory Thresholds & Tending): Cross into the sanctuary, notice subtle details, light hearth embers, prepare washbasins, and weather sudden elemental shifts in atmosphere.
Sixes through Eights (Omens, Truths & Ancestry): Divine the path ahead through Goddess archetypes (Inanna, Ariadne, Brigid, Hecate, Isis, Lilith, Artemis, Kali) and trace the wisdom passed down through generations of women.
Nines & Tens (Outer World & Sacred Wholeness): Gaze out the tent flap toward your home and work, integrating your inner discoveries into an unshakable sense of self-awareness and sovereignty.
The Court Cards (Initiations & Council): Receive personal rituals from the Sanctuary Priestesses (Jacks), sit before the Divine Council of Goddesses (Queens), and ground your practice with the cosmic forces of the Primordial Mothers or the Sacred Masculine (Kings).
Whether you write a single page or keep a sprawling nocturnal journal, The Scarlet Thread transforms a quiet evening into a transformative personal retreat.
WHAT’S INSIDE THE GUIDEBOOK
A 52-Card Lore & Prompt Index: Richly atmospheric vignettes that ground every card pull in sensory Red Tent imagery and evocative journaling questions.
Divinatory & Ritual Mechanics: Simple rules that use standard playing cards to track your journey, prompt personal rituals, and determine when your time in the tent draws to a close.
Dual King Paths: Tailor your journey by choosing Option A: The Primordial Mothers (Tiamat, Gaia, Yemaya, Nyx) or Option B: The Sacred Masculine (The Sacred Guardian, Sun King, Green Man, Wise King).
Zero-Setup Design: No tabletop gaming experience, complex math, or elaborate supplies required—just your deck, your journal, and a quiet pen.
THIS GAME IS FOR YOU IF:
You crave a dedicated, structured ritual space to pause, reflect, and practice intuitive journaling.
You feel drawn to the sanctuary of the Red Tent, mythic Goddess archetypes, and earth-centered traditions.
You want to explore shadow work, emotional boundary-setting, and somatic care through a safe, poetic lens.
